WebSAT Announcements
9/8/10: Enterprize Plan now included in Business Plan
As WebSAT modules get developed on an ongoing basis, I am excited to announce that all features previously only available in the Enterprize plan (which has been abandoned) is now available in your Business plan. This particularily means that if you already have (or plan to implement) an online shop with a link to PayPal for payment processing, it is now available to you. Please contact me if you want to discuss the details.
24/6/08: WebSAT 3.0 in Alpha stage
There will be exciting news coming up for all WebSAT with the introduction of WebSAT Version 3.0. This will lift WebSAT to a fully grown and professional web 2.0 application and you can expect a total makeover and simplification of the existing interface, combined with site-specific help and a much more. Of course WebSAT 3 will be available to all our clients at NO extra cost - I will keep you posted about the progress here.
14/6/08: Sorting Lists
The layout definitions now support sorting by either name, title, date or author of articles, ascending or descending. This greatly asists for example if you have a list of news article previews, which you may sort by date descending to acheive a list of recent news.
12/10/07: WebSAT 2.9 released
There have been made several internal improvements in the area of page ID's and in the core of WebSAT which results in a more stable working environment
18/3/07: "Secure" Email in your page footer
You don't need to worry anymore to publish your main contact email on your webpage. Simply enter your email address as part of the footer-text (in the WebSAT General Tab). Your email will not visible as such in the HTML code (and hence invisible to spiders crawling the web to gather email addresses) and a small Javascript is used to output the email address to the page. Just rememeber that for now, if you put email-links as part of the contents in yoor WYSIWYG editor, they will NOT be protected (I will work on that). Downside is that people which do not have Javascript enabled will not see your email address (but 99.9% do).
11/3/07: New Drop-Down Menusystem now working in ALL browsers
After some problems with the old drop-down menu system in IE7 we have decided to completely rewrite the drop-down menus of the WebSAT framework. The new menu system now supports all common browsers by using the latest CSS technology and a minimum of conditional HTML code. Best of all, it does NOT require Javascript anymore and is a pure-CSS solution. We migrated all the sites and made sure they work as before, so there is no action required from your side.
12/2/07: WebSAT Manual Now Online
The WebSAT manual has kicked-off on this site. It can be opened through the WebSAT interface and uses a ticketing system which makes it visible to registered WebSAT users only. Therefore, always use the link provided in your WebSAT Help button. Some chapters are still under construction but they will be completed within the next few weeks.
11/2/07: Website Statistics Now Available
Website statistics can now be accessed via the Home-tab in WebSAT (links at the bottom right). The latest visitors is still under construction, but you can see an overview statistic since your website is hosted with us and the monthly details. There is currently no statistic on a page-per-page basis - this will be implemented as soon.
10/2/07: WebSAT Version 2.8 Released
WebSAT Version 2.8 has been released. It contains the following improvements:
- bigger window size. The minimal screen resolution is now 1024x768.
- now supports a limited number (or randomly generated list) of elements to be used in display formats (can be used for ad-rotators, show last 3 news articles, etc)
